Location

Our property is located in the barrio Playa Hucares in the municipality of Naguabo. This quaint fishing village in eastern Puerto Rico is perfectly nestled between the Carribean Ocean and the El Yunque Rain Forest between the cities of Fajardo and Humacao.

You can travel into the mountains to discover waterfalls and wildlife or visit the sea at Culebra Beach in just minutes!

After a long day of exploring, returning to the comforts offered at Casa Libre Puerto Rico is just as quick.

 

Getting Here

The nearest airport is in San Juan. Transportation can be arranged. Car rentals are also available. The drive to Playa Hucares is delightful as spectacular ocean views welcome you to Puerto Rico!

Exit the airport and follow signs towards Carolina/ Hwy 26 EAST Follow 26 and remain in the 2 left lanes. Hwy 26 will become Route 66. Pay $1.50 toll and continue on Hwy 66 until you reach the Junction with Hwy 3. NOTE: you will go through 1 stop light and you will see the Belz Outlet mall on your right. Turn RIGHT onto Hwy 3 at the Second Stop Light Proceed on Hwy 3, using middle or left lanes. You will pass through the cities of Rio Grande, Luquillo, Fajardo, Ceiba & Roosevelt Roads as you make your way to Naguabo. Hwy 3 will become Hwy 53. Pay $1.00 toll. Continue to Exit/Salida 13 - Playa de Naguabo. The Exit loops around under the freeway. Turn RIGHT at the stop sign...(this is PR-3) You will come to fork in the road, stay left towards Humacao...(this is PR-3) You will pass a gas station on your left and you will come to intersection with the ocean straight ahead and a gazebo right in front. Turn LEFT. Follow this road, keeping the ocean on your right until you reach a sharp left turn at the end. You will see the fishing dock on your right. From here, make the sharp left turn and then make your first immediate right up the hill. The Entrance to Casa Libre is the first gate on your right. The House is Light Blue and White and the gate is White. You can park inside in our private lot.
